Academic Licensing
NEW 'USE IN ACADEMIC MODE' OPTION AVAILABLE (23/12/09)
With the latest version of ring2.0 you can use the software on your university network without the need to apply for a license, or setup a network license server. A new "Use in academic mode" option will appear if you are working on recognised academic network. To see if your academic network is recognised, please navigate to http://www.limitstate.com/academictest.
If your academic network is recognised a "Use in academic mode" option will appear after a few seconds after you download, install and run the software. Select this to gain full access to all parts of the software.
Each time ring2.0 is used on your university network, a new 30-day license will be issued by our server. This means that you are able to use it for up to 30 days away from your University network - for example, if you take your laptop home, the software will continue to be licensed.
If your academic network is not recognised, please contact us and we will add it to our list.
